The meeting was opened by approving and seconding the previous meetings minutes with no matters arising. Update on carried forward tasks were discussed and closed as applicable
Captain Debbie thanked all for their support in contributing to the success of her recent Captain’s Competition for both the men and women. She expressed a special thank you to the committee members who supported her “Captain’s Twist” and displayed their newfound line dancing skills. Their performance went down very well on the night with all present enjoying the entertainment.
Captain Brians prize to the women takes place on July 25th. His prize to the men takes place on August Bank Holiday weekend with his prize giving evening on Sunday August 2nd.
We wish Captain Brian all the best for this occasion.
President Deirdre's Women's Competition and Presentation evening will be on Saturday 22nd August. Details will be displayed in the locker room shortly.
Competitions Internal
Entry sheet for the Evelyn Philips/Phyllis Kavanagh Plate is now displayed in the locker room. This is a 9 Hole Competition.
The Ballycurry Cup and Foursomes Draw has been made and matches are ongoing. Good luck to all taking part.
Interclub Competitions
Well done to the Intermediate Foursomes team and managers on their recent win against Druids Heath progressing to the final in Lucan GC on August 3rd. We also congratulate the Mixed Foursome team and managers who also qualified for the semifinal of their competition which will also be played on August 3rd against Blainroe. All support for both matches will be greatly appreciated and with the dry conditions ball spotters will be a vital role for club supporters.
Get into Golf
We welcome 8 new members who have joined until the end of the current season. President Deirdre has set up a “Buddy System” for these ladies. It is encouraging to see these women taking to the fairways and we encourage our members to support and encourage these members should you meet them on the course or in the clubhouse.

Social Events
Our next presentation evening takes place on Wednesday 22nd July with the presentation of the July Monthly Medal and July competition Prizes. Look forward to seeing you all there and Captain Debbie will be sharing the last of her Captain Day Pimms.
