➢ Entry is open to Full, Senior, Intermediate, and Junior Intermediate Members.

➢The competition will, in so far as is practical, be played over 13/14 holes to be decided by the Course and Competitions Committees each week.

➢ The Rules of Golf apply to all Winter League competitions. Details of the holes and tee markers in play, together with any additional Local Rules, will be displayed on the notice boards in the Pro Shop and Men’s Locker Room.

➢ The Playing Handicap Allowance for all Winter League competitions will be 80% of the 18-hole White Course Handicap.

The 18-hole scorecard and stroke indexes will apply, regardless of the number of holes in play.

➢ The cost of Prepaid entry is €50.00 per team €12.50 per player to be paid before 6pm on Wednesday November 4th, 2026. Entry Forms are available in the bar area.

➢ Teams will be made up of four players. Players who do not wish to play on a team may enter the singles league only at a cost of €12.50.

➢ All golfers will be included in the singles league competition & will be grouped into categories based on the number of players entered. Teams will all play in the same category.

➢ Players will play off their handicap on the day of the competition.

➢ The best two scores returned each week will be combined to calculate the team’s weekly score.

➢ Players may only play one round per weekend for the Winter League (i.e. Friday, Saturday, or Sunday). Team members are not required to play together. Play outside of the Timesheet is not permitted.

➢ If the course is closed on Friday, the competition will stand with Saturday and Sunday entries only.

There will be no alternate day available. If the course is closed on Saturday or Sunday, the Winter League competition will be canceled for that weekend.

➢ The Substitution of any team player will be allowed in case of injury, illness or other valid reason. The new team member will have to pay full entry fee €12.50 regardless of at what stage of the season he joins the team (unless entry fee for singles winter league has already been paid). No reverse substitution will be allowed.

➢ All entry fees collected will be allocated in full to the competition prize fund.

➢ Winter League competitions will run from the weekend of 6th–8th November 2026 up to and including 12th–14th March 2027.

There will be 16 scheduled weeks of competition, with a three-week Christmas break during December.

Winter League Regular Season – 12 Weeks

Team Format

➢ Teams will consist of four players.

➢ The Regular Season will operate on a head-to-head league format, similar to the Champions League league phase.

➢ All teams will compete in one overall league table.

➢ Each team will play 12 different opponents, with one head-to-head fixture scheduled each week.

➢ Each team's opponents will be determined by a seeded draw before the start of the competition.

➢ If fewer than 12 League Rounds can be completed due to adverse weather, course closure or other circumstances beyond the control of the Competition Committee, the League Phase will conclude after the final available playable round.

Weekly Team Score

The best two Stableford scores returned by the four team members will be combined to determine the team's score for that week.

Example:Team A: 30 + 31 = 61 points; Team B: 30 + 28 = 58 points

Team A wins the match 61–58.

League points will be awarded as follows:

➢ Win – 3 points

➢ Draw – 1 point

➢ Loss – 0 points

The points difference from each match will also be recorded:

Team A: 61–58 = +3

Team B: 58–61 = −3

A team's cumulative points difference will be used as one of the league table tie-breakers.

The Draw

All teams will be divided into three or four seeding pots, depending on the total number of teams entered.

Seeding will be based on a combination of team handicap and previous Winter League performance, where applicable.

Each team's 12 opponents will then be drawn across the seeding pots to provide a balanced range of fixtures.

For example, where three pots are used, each team could be drawn against:

4 teams from Pot 1 + 4 teams from Pot 2 + 4 teams from Pot 3 = 12 opponents.

League Table & Tie-Breakers

Teams will be ranked in the league table using the following criteria, in order:

➢ League points

➢ Overall points difference

➢ Total team Stableford points scored

➢ Number of matches won

➢ Best team score in the final Regular Season round followed by second-highest, third-highest, etc.

Regular Season Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to the teams finishing: 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place

Winter League Finals - 4 Weeks

After Week 12, all teams will qualify for the Winter League Finals,

with their final league position determining which competition they enter.

Depending on the total number of teams participating, the Finals will be divided into three levels:

➢ Champions League – highest-ranked teams

➢ Shield League – middle-ranked teams

➢ Plate League – remaining teams

Final qualification places for each level will be confirmed once the total number of teams is known.

Winter League Finals – Scoring Format

All teams will begin the Winter League Finals with their points reset to zero.

Depending on weather conditions and the number of playable competition weeks available, the Finals may run for between 1 and 4 weeks.

Therefore, every completed week of the Finals will count towards the final standings.

Each week, the best two Stableford scores from the four team members will be combined to determine the team’s weekly score.

The team with the highest cumulative score at the end of the Finals will be the winner of its respective competition.

Tie-Breaker

In the event of two or more teams finishing level on points, the following tie-break procedure will apply:

➢ Highest team score in the final completed week of the Finals.

➢ Highest individual Stableford score in that week.

➢ Second-highest individual Stableford score in that week.

➢ If still tied, the same procedure will be applied to the previous completed week(s), working backwards.

➢ If the teams remain tied, the team with the higher finishing position after Week 12 of the qualifying league will be placed higher.

Winter League Finals Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to the winning and runner-up teams in its respective league.

Singles League – Regular Season & Finals

The Singles League will run throughout both the Regular Season and Finals, with each player's Stableford score counting towards the Singles

League each week.

A maximum of 16 weeks may be played, comprising 12 Regular Season weeks and up to four weeks of Finals.

Each player's final Singles League total will be calculated using their best counting scores. Depending on the total number of Winter League

competitions completed, a player's lowest scores will be dropped as follows:

The Competition Committee reserves the right to amend the schedule where required to ensure the fairest possible conclusion to the

competition.

Tie-Breaker

In the event of two or more players finishing the Singles League with the same total number of Stableford points, ties will be decided as follows:

➢ The player with the highest individual Stableford score from their counting rounds will be placed higher.

➢ If still tied, the second-highest individual score will be compared, followed by the third-highest, fourth-highest and so on until the tie is

broken.

➢ If the players remain tied after all counting scores have been compared, the most recent Winter League round in which all tied players

returned a valid score will be used.

➢ If still tied, the Club's normal Stableford countback procedure will apply to that round.

Singles Season Prizes

Prizes will be awarded in each Singles League category as follows: 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place
