The meeting was opened by approving and seconding the previous meetings minutes no matters arising. Update on carried forward tasks were discussed and closed as applicable.
Bereavement
Condolences were extended to Susan Henderson on the death of her mother Irene Henderson and to Rosemary Morrissey on the death of her brother Raymond O’ Flaherty.
Competitions Internal
Congratulations to the prize-winners in President Eamonn Sheridan’s Competition played on Saturday 26th May. It was a great day with President Eamonn somehow organising fantastic weather as well as fabulous prizes.
Coronation Foursomes will take place on June 8th Good luck to all taking part.
Entry sheets for Captain Debbie’s prize and for the Club Foursomes displayed in the locker room and relevant information conveyed via WhatsApp.
We look forward to Captain Debbie’s Major Prize Competition which will take place on Wednesday, June 24th and Saturday, June 27th. This year the competition for the men’s prizes will take place on 2 days Saturday, June 20th and Sunday June 21st.
The Women’s section are holding an Open Day on July 8th and we encourage you to invite your golfing friends to join you on the day as we showcase our club. Further details will be communicated through the usual channels.
Interclub Competitions
Our Interclub season is well underway with great results for the Revive Fourball, Leinster Trophy and Intermediate Foursomes Teams progressing to the next rounds of their respective competitions. Congratulations to all involved. Hard luck to our Junior Cup team who played on Sunday 14th and lost to a very strong team from The Grange Golf Club. Again, our appreciation is extended to all who wear the club colours with pride.
Junior Golf
The Junior Golf season started with a successful team event to “kick off “ their season. Thanks to all who gave up their time to play in this competition, consolidating a strong link between our junior and senior members. Thanks to Women's President Deirdre for coordinating the women’s involvement in this event.
Get into Golf
Well done to Dylan on a successful GIGs Programme which finishes early June with a scramble type golf on June 9th. Thanks to our women members who volunteered and helped Dylan out with this venture

Social Events
Prize giving for May took place on June 3rd with Stephen from “ The Shoe Box” arttending on the night.
Ryder Cup Competition: Thanks to the White Captain Una Doyle and Blue Captain Simon Carroll for organising this event introduced by Captain Debbie. This proved to be a very popular Friday evening mixed competition which we hope to hold again in the future.
Our June Presentation takes place on June 17th combined with the “unveiling “ of Captain Debbie’s Prize to the women. The draw for Captain Debbie’s first day takes place on the night along with the draw for the Club Foursomes.
We are looking forward to 2 great days of golf followed by a great evening of good food, great entertainment, and overall fun. Wishing Captain Debbie all the best and hopefully the weather will oblige on the day. For those who are not playing they are welcome to call in to the clubhouse to meet Captain Debbie and share this wonderful event in her Captain’s diary with her.
