Captain Paula welcomed all to our 8th Committee meeting of the year.
The minutes from the July meeting were approved, seconded by the Committee and signed by Captain Paula.
Sympathy was expressed to the Kavanagh family on the recent passing of Jimmy and also to the Murphy/ Kavanagh families of the recent passing of their sister Lola.
Best wishes to Una, Deirdre and Maria who qualified to play in the Valerie Doyle Cup in Carlow Golf Club on Wednesday, 6th August 2025.
Congratulations to Jean and Breda who have qualified to play in the Regional final of Vision Ireland / Flogas which will take place in Millicent Golf Club on 25th August . Good luck ladies.
Silver and Bronze Medals were won by Una Doyle and Captain Paula Johnston respectively. Una will now play in the regional final in New Forest and Paula will play in Mount Temple, both on the 1st September 2025.
Courtown Cup will be played on Thursday, 28th August, 2025.
Our famous Wyder Cup which has been running for a number of years now will take place in Faithlegg Hotel and Golf Club on Monday 22nd September. Looking forward to this outing.

Maureen O’Dea is organizing a clean/polish of the Trophy Cabinet on Thursday, 14th August, at 10.30 a.m. All help would be appreciated.
Captains Gerry Tiernan’s Prize Competition was a great success and equally fantastic Presentation/ Social night with great food, music and dancing. Many thanks Gerry for your beautiful prizes to the ladies on the night.
Townhall Meeting will be held in October. (Date TBC)
We would love to meet our new members and would encourage them to come along to our presentation nights.
President Clodagh’s Prize will take place on Saturday, 16th August 2025. Clodagh would love if you would join her for coffee and cake regardless of, if you are playing golf or not. Presentation/Social night will take place following competition with BBQ starting at 7.00 p.m. Music by “Two lost Souls”. Emma is now taking bookings at the bar, €20.00. Looking forward to seeing you all there.
