President Eamonn Sheridan

President Eamonn Sheridan - hails from Leitrim and having spent 48 years in Wicklow is thinking of applying for citizenship. President Eamonn has been a member of Wicklow Golf Club since 1990 and a sponsor of competitions for the past 37 years. 

He says although not a regular 9.10 am on Sunday competition player but enjoys his golf and the company of fellow players. His favourite time at the Club is Captain’s & President’s days, in lovely sunshine, where the atmosphere and surroundings are second to none. The fun and banter in the Clubhouse during these events complete a great day for President Eamonn at Wicklow Golf Club

His daily walks to the lighthouse keeps him fit and healthy and in shape for his round of golf. His favourite hole is the 12th which presents a good challenge, especially in summer months when there is a good run on the ball. 

His message to members is to relax and enjoy playing golf and allow yourself time to appreciate a wonderful course with views hard to beat anywhere in the world. Its fabulous location, clubhouse and friendly atmosphere is something President Eamonn loves and is looking forward to representing Wicklow Golf Club as your 2026 President.
