Leinster Fourball Success

Congratulations to the Wicklow Golf Club Fourball team for winning the pennant and trophy as the 2026 Leinster Fourball winners.

The final was played in good spirt against Straffan Golf Club in Birr GC on Saturday 19th September. The final score of 3.5 match wins for the Wicklow team. Manager, Paul Garland, said all the matches were closer than the score reflects. The Wicklow team were a mixture of players with matchplay experience and others who have never been part of an Inter-club team before. This tight knit group have great camaraderie and fought together for every point. Club Captain’s Brian and Debbie offered their congratulations to the team, and thanked all WGC supports and their hosts Birr GC on their hospitality and course condition. They reminded everyone that Inter-club Pennants are hard to win and a credit to the team players and Captain.
