Thank You From The National Breast Cancer Research Institute

This year marked the 9th Play in Pink at Wicklow Golf Club. Thanks to your incredible generosity and support, we raised an amazing €10,279 from the Afternoon Tea and Play in Pink Day.

A huge thank you to our sponsor Amanda’s Hair Salon and all our volunteers who help make these events run so smoothly, and to our members and everyone who contributed in any way — whether through donations of time, money, or support.

Almost everyone knows someone that has been affected by Breast Cancer at some stage. The monies raised are used to aid Breast Cancer Research.

We received a thank you letter from The National Breast Cancer Research Institute:

On behalf of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute and everyone associated with the Play in Pink initiative that supports it, I would like to extend our sincerest thanks to you and all at Wicklow Golf Club for your recent hosting of a Play in Pink Day.

Your incredible donation of € 10,279 will join all other monies raised by Play in Pink days all around Ireland in 2026 and it will directly support vital breast cancer research at the Lambe Institute at the University of Galway.

Your contribution is invaluable in helping us to improve the outcomes for breast cancer patients in Ireland and for more details on the work of the NBCRI and to see where and how your donation money is spent, please visit the website:

We have also enclosed, with thanks, a Certificate & Letter which highlights the incredible work you undertook on behalf of Play in Pink and the NBCRI.

Please convey our heartfelt thanks to all the Wicklow Golf Club members and everyone who helped, donated their time or money, or was involved in the decision to host the day.

Your support means so much more than we can ever convey.

If you have any queries about Play in Pink or the NBCRI please let me know and we would be delighted to hear from you and answer them.

Thank you once again for your incredible support & we wish you all the best for the rest of the golfing year.
