Eddie Connaughton Agronomist Report

Eddie Connaughton carried out an inspection on the 1st October and was generally pleased with course conditions observed.

In his extensive report, Eddie provided observations and recommendations on the condition of our Greens, Tee Boxes, Fairways and General Areas.

The following is an extract from his report concerning the Greens:

"I was very pleased with the condition of the greens surfaces with grass texture and density producing good putting surfaces. There is continued improvement in greens profiles with root development averaging 75-100 mm and, more importantly, the Black Layer that was so acute two years ago is reducing with the aeration programmes in place.

I recommend a continuation of the aeration work as follows:

• October 2025 hollow core with ½ inch tines.

• December 2025 solid tine with verti-drain machine.

• Jan / Feb. 2026 hollow core ½ inch tines and leave holes open.

• October 2026 hollow core greens with ½ inch tines"
