General Manager - Recruitment

Wicklow Golf Club is a long-established private members’ club with an enviable reputation, just outside the town of Wicklow. The Club offers a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and provides quality catering, bar and venue facilities to members, visitors, and Golf societies.

The Club has now decided to initiate the recruitment of a General Manager, who will provide leadership and ensure the continuing success and development of the club.

Working with the Club’s Officers and reporting to the Executive Management Committee, the person appointed will be responsible for overseeing all Club operations including monitoring and reporting on key performance measures and for maximising financial performance and member satisfaction. Other key responsibilities will include taking a leading role in shaping, developing and implementing the Club’s strategy; managing major projects and initiatives; marketing the Club and its services and leading the Club’s staff team.

Candidates, who should have previous Club Management experience, if possible, will be dynamic, customer and marketing focussed, used to working in busy and demanding environment. An appreciation of the traditions of a private members’ club, a knowledge of golf, a demonstrated track record in leading and motivating teams and business acumen will be required.
