Ladies Golf Ireland Course Rating Vacancies

Course Rating Vacancies - Expressions of Interest

Golf Ireland and the Government’s Sport Action Plan 2021-2023 includes a commitment to maintain 40% female representation within our volunteer network. We recently ran a successful campaign to recruit volunteers for Course Rating teams, however we didn’t quite meet our gender balance quota and vacancies remain for female volunteers within the Leinster Region.

Course Rating is a core service that is provided to all golf clubs affiliated to Golf Ireland. Courses are re-rated every ten years unless there have been major alterations during the intervening period. Course Rating is also the cornerstone of the World Handicap System.

The R&A/USGA Course Rating System enables a Course Rating and Slope Rating to be established for all courses in the Region. A Course Rating is the difficulty of a golf course for the scratch player under normal course and weather conditions. A Slope rating is the relative difficulty of a golf course for bogey players compared to scratch players.
