Pro Shop

Louise D’Arcy was appointed PGA Head Professional of Wicklow Golf Club in December 2017, and comes with a wealth of golf acumen and coaching experience.

Having qualified in 1999 at the renowned city centre golf course of Elm Park Golf Club in Dublin Louise moved to Germany to coach at Golfanlage Hummelbachaue Golf und Sports in Neuss.

Louise worked alongside the German Junior Golf Forband which produced tour pros such as Marcel Siem and Martin Kaymer, who was a junior golfer at the time Louise was coaching those up and coming juniors.

Throughout the years Louise has specialized in coaching golfers of all skill levels. She has mastered the ability to not only teach a technique to players, but can teach players to play their best golf and be the best golfing version of themselves!

Thanks to this Louise was employed to conceptualise, run and manage the GUI junior golf programme, in conjunction with Junior Golf Ireland, at the Golfing Union of Ireland’s National Academy in Maynooth from 2008 to 2013. There she also coached all levels of male and female golfers from high to mid to low handicappers with countless major club prize winners over the years. Louise also coached many young people to embark upon a professional golfing career and has had a plus 5 as her lowest player!

In her search to making golfers great, Louise completed with distinction the Titleist Performance Institute’s certified course, which is an in-depth study of the biomechanics of the golf swings of the world’s top tour golfers. Louise investigates how to get the best golfing movement out of your body, now and in the future through player specific golfing drills.

Louise is currently in the process of revamping the Pro Shop to put her own unique stamp on it, and in early spring 2018 the shop will be stocked with the latest golf equipment and apparel as well as the 2018 Spring collection of golf fashion and clothing.

In the meantime Louise is selling gift vouchers which can be used for purchasing products in the Pro Shop or for golf lessons.
